STUDIO RENTAL CONDITIONS

STUDIO RENTAL FAQ

IS THE STUDIO EXCLUSIVE USE?

 

Yes! It's 100% yours for the duration of the shoot. This includes all indoor & outdoor relaxation areas.

 

IS THERE TECHNICAL SUPPORT ON SITE?

 

Yes! We are always on hand should you have any questions or concerns - just pop into the office, or buzz us on the intercom. 

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE GO OVER TIME?

 

If you know that your day will run late, please contact us before the shoot to request an extended day and we will quote you accordingly. If you go overtime unexpectedly, overtime is charged @ R1,250 per hour on Standard Shoots and R1,750 per hour on Full Crew Shoots

Please contact us should you require alternative hours or a rate for an extended day

 

WHEN DO I NEED TO MAKE A BOOKING?

 

The studio is in high demand, so we advise you to pencil book and then confirm your booking as far in advance as possible.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?

 

To secure and confirm a booking, clients are required to pay a 50% deposit. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 24 hours before the shoot date. If you require different terms please contact us to discuss.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE RUN OUT OF COFFEE?

 

We will get you some more!

WHAT ABOUT LOADSHEDDING?

​

Don't worry we have you covered with a backup generator powering the entire property!

BOOKINGS

 

Bookings can be made by phone, text or email. A pencil booking is a temporary booking before it is confirmed. A confirmed booking is considered when client pays 50% deposit before the booking date. Client is to respond to the booking form (in writing) in order to be considered the priority client for the day. 

 

RATES

 

Rates apply to stills and motion content productions.

TVCs and Full/Expanded Crew Shoots must be quoted for as standard rates may not apply.

OPENING HOURS

 

Monday – Friday | Saturday - By arrangement | Sunday - Closed

Full Day (9 hours) -  8:00am – 5:00pm 

Half Day (4 hours) - 8:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Overtime is charged @ R1,250 per hour on Standard Shoots and R1,750 per hour on Full Crew Shoots

PREP DAYS

 

Prep time required that is less than a half day can be accommodated by prior arrangement

 

CANCELLATIONS

 

Industry etiquette dictates that Confirmed bookings be honoured. Cancellations of a confirmed booking within 5 working days of the shoot date will be liable for a 20% cancellation fee. Cancellations made with 24-72 hours of the date of a confirmed booking will be charged at 50%. Cancellations made within 24 hours prior to the shoot or on the day of a confirmed booking will be charged at 100% of the agreed Studio Rental Fee.

 

PAYMENT TERMS

Only EFT payments are accepted prior to the start of the shoot.

To secure and confirm a booking, clients are required to pay a 50% deposit. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 24 hours before the shoot date.

​

For Monday to Friday bookings, full payment must be made at least 24 hours before the confirmed shoot start time.

For Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holiday bookings, full payment must be made within 48 hours of the confirmed shoot start time.

​

In all cases, payment must be completed by 9:00 AM on the day before the booking.

CLEANING FEE

 

Light Station reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee where deemed necessary. This will be assessed fairly and reasonably based on the state in which the studio is left. The cleaning fee will be R550 and will be added to the final invoice.

​

DAMAGES & THEFT

 

The client will be held responsible for any damages or theft incurred.

​
